I am an offensive minded player, but no one can be strictly offensive. The right balance is what I try for.

I run a dual account, we are pretty active. I'd say about 17 hours that are available to us.

9. Your reasons For wanting to join.
I've always respected [ONE]. This is my third round with the .ukx server, although this is my first round to put a lot into it. In past rounds I've ran a .usx account and a .comx account in addition to a .ukx account. This round, I'm running two accounts which allows me to pay a lot more attention to this account. I spawned in the NW for the reason that [ONE] was there this round.

11. Your past experience of Travian, please include which server and your in game name(s).
I would say that I'm pretty experienced with Travian. This is my 3rd round with .ukx, although as mentioned above, my first two rounds were just casual rounds. Also, I'm currently in my 4th round on the .usx server and I've played 3 rounds in the .comx server. All rounds I have been competitive. Making my way into top alliances, winning the WW 4 different rounds, and with all but my very first full round on .comx, I made my way into leadership, leading a wing for my alliance. I know what it takes to make it to end game, I've been through it about 8 times between the servers. I've always had respectable accounts.
My dual is about as experienced as I am, only she didn't play the first .comx or .usx round with me, but after that, I got her into Travian. She was the same way as I was with leadership. In past rounds we ran separate accounts, but this round we decided to dual one.
My IGN has always been Rhendricks or Rhen, my dual's has been JazzTrumpet, JazzDelay of just Jazz.

12. Details of any ONE players who can vouch for you.
I don't know of any [ONE] players to vogue for me. The closest I can come is 'Do it yourself' is in my 7x7 and has seen me grow.

Additional: I know that my pop is still low, but this is only my 3rd day into the server. I know that I can grow and help [ONE], both now, and down the round. Like I said above, my dual and I are very competitive players and we know what it takes to have a successful Travian round.

I'm with akk, seems like they could grow become a good, maybe even great player over time.

It's amazing how much the app matters - I would still always want to sitter check, but the app can reveal so much about a player too - while ONE wants great players, i am also keen on them being great people as well - we have to spend the next 4 months with them, let's make sure they are people we can see that happening with!

Whenever someone wants to skip doing the forum app, it makes me suspicious - it's a 5 minute job, but if they can't even give us the 5 minutes it takes, can they be that committed to us?

Should put that in the Application Guidelines. As you say it is a big thing, and it does help to know something about a player before we let them roll on in.

Don't want to go off track with this thread .. but - I agree with sentiments of effort - however if we have to "spoon feed" the appliers and tell them why it is important, then perhaps we would get a "false" reflection of true seriousness.
